Celebrations to mark centenary of birth of Sir Alec Guinness
The centenary of the birth of Sir Alec Guinness takes place on 16 October. To celebrate the occasion, a special Mass followed by a theatre performance will take place in Covent Garden, organised by the Catholic Association of Performing Arts.
Fr Alan Robinson, National Chaplain to CAPA will celebrate the Mass at 6.30pm in Corpus Christi Church in Maiden Lane, Covent Garden. After the service there will be a performance at the Club for Acts and Actors at 20 Bedford Street by Trevor Littledale of 'Two Halves of Guinness' a one-man show telling the life story of the great actor.
Admission is free. There will be a collection towards the Sir Alec Guinness Bursary.
