A poem at one with nature
When I lived in Japan, I met a poet, Toshie Kuroko, (her pen name). In a predominantly Buddhist country she stood out as a Catholic. We became very good friends. I found her to be charming, intelligent, generous of spirit, kind and a great inspiration. She wrote this poem, a reflection of how she is feeling at this present time. She wrote it in Japanese. I have translated it into English. Her words are simple yet poignant. Her thoughts in harmony with nature and with life. M Knows
All - Everything
Once upon a time, the mountain was worshipped as a God
by Toshie Kuroko
The seasons change, spring has come
The mountain smiles, talks
How is everyone?
Let's all enjoy
Is anyone lonely?
Let's hold hands and create a circle
Everyone is welcome to join
What do you want to do?
Do you simply want to sit in silence, that's fine
Do you want to run around together with friends, just running around
Do you want to walk leisurely while looking at flowers
Do you want to talk as much as possible
As there will be good people who will listen in silence
The mountain is created by the hand of God
Of course, all of us too
Things we see with our eyes
Things we cannot see
All the things we feel
Everything anything
Everything is at the mercy of God
everything is predestined
The end
