Gerard W Hughes SJ goes on line
The writer and teacher Gerard W Hughes SJ launched his own website today.
The site: www.gerardwhughes.com includes extracts from his new book God In All Things which is being published in 17 April.
Gerard Hughes said that the purpose of the site was to make his writing more accessible and to give simple instructions on some methods of prayer to encourage visitors to find their own way of praying.
He said: "It will also explore questions that arise from peoples' experience of prayer and its connection with everyday life.
"The more I think about this website, the more I dream about its possibilities and hope it will move far beyond anything I have written. I would like it to become interactive, welcoming all who are looking for meaning in their lives. I hope and pray i will be a means of helping those who use it to discover the attractiveness of God."
Gerard W Hughes is the author of God of Surprises; God of Compassion; God Where Are You?; In Search of a Way and Walk To Jerusalem. He is a Jesuit priest and has been a teacher, university chaplain, and director of St Beuno's spirituality centre in Wales. He is now based in Birmingham where he works on the development of a spirituality for people active in peace and justice work.
