Supachai Koysub

He has done it again! Supachai Koysub, an electronics teacher at the Redemptorist Vocational School for People with Disabilities, has returned to the Father Ray Foundation with a Paralympic medal.

Supachai, 35, was part of Thailand's athletics team at London 2012's Paralympic Games and was awarded a silver medal for his performance in the men's 4 x 400 metre wheelchair relay race.

This was Supachai's fourth Paralympics and his tally of medals, including this year's silver, is an impressive four golds, four silvers and one bronze. He now returns to a hero's welcome at the Vocational School, where he had been a pupil before becoming a teacher.

He was not the only success story for the Father Ray Foundation as former Vocational School pupil Watcharaphon Vongsa won a gold medal as part of Thailand's Paralympic Boccia team. Another former pupil, Phiraphong Buengbok, also took part in shooting events at the Paralympic Games.

Since its foundation in 1984 more than 2,500 young adults with disabilities have graduated from the Vocational School. Sport forms a major part of the curriculum and all pupils are encouraged to participate in sport such as archery, swimming, fencing, wheelchair basketball, tennis and athletics.
