International Mass

Just days before the government enforces the new Immigration and Asylum Act, Archbishop Cormac Murphy-O'Connor will be celebrating a Jubilee Mass for minority ethnic chaplaincies, national churches and migrants at Westminster Cathedral this Sunday 24 September at 2pm. Bishop Patrick O'Donoghue who chairs the Bishops' Conference Committee for Migrants and Refugees said: "We have a rich diversity of nationalities and ethnic origins among our parishioners." He mentioned among others French, Italian, Chinese, Lebanese, Nigerian and West Indian. He said: "The Archbishop wants to say Mass with them all - people and priests. Please offer a personal invitation to those you know, and a general invitation so that on one is left out. It would add greatly if people were encouraged to wear national dress."
