Aylesford: Carmelite professes first vows

Brother Ged Walsh completed his noviciate at Aylesford Priory recently, with the profession of simple vows for three years. The vows were received by the prior provincial Fr Tony Lester in the presence of Ged's family and a large gathering of the British Province of Carmelite Friars. Aged 28, Ged was a senior radiographer in Liverpool before he joined the Carmelite Order in 2005. He is now going to live in the Carmelite Irish Province community in Gort Muire, Dublin, in term-time, where he will study philosophy then theology at Milltown Institute. Out of term he is a member of the community at English Martyrs, Walworth.
