The new Diocese of Nyahururu had its first ordination on Saturday July 26. Eight new priests and eight new deacons were ordained by the Bishop Luigi Paiaro. It was his first ordination since he was ordained bishop on March 25, this year. The ceremony took place at Tabor Hill spiritual centre, which is exactly on the equator crossing the Gilgil -Nyahururu road and was attended by at least 5000 faithful from all over the diocese. Three days before the ordination, the Bishop had a retreat seminar with the newly ordained priests. On Thursday the July 24, He had a special meeting with the Parents of those to be ordained. The new Diocese now has 52 priests: seven are teachers in the seminaries, one is with the military chaplaincy. Four are outside the country for studies and one in the Catholic University Eastern Africa. Source: CISA
