Bishops to attend Holy Land summit

 Bishops from ten Catholic Bishops' Conferences and two European Bishops' groups will meet in Jerusalem and Bethlehem next week from January 12 - 15, at a summit entitled: 'The Universal Church in solidarity with the Church of the Holy Land'. The delegation from England and Wales is led by Archbishop Patrick Kelly, Vice-President of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of England and Wales and Archbishop of Liverpool. The President of the US Bishops' Conference, Bishop Wilton Gregory, Bishop of Belleville, will lead its delegation. The Bishops' Conferences of Germany, France, Italy, Canada, El Salvador, Spain, Scandinavia and Switzerland are also sending bishops to the meeting, which is hosted by the Latin Patriarch, His Beatitude Michel Sabbah, and organised by the Catholic Bishops' Conference of England and Wales.
