American archbishop calls for internet evangelisation plan
On Wednesday Archbishop John P Foley, president of the Pontifical Council for Social Communications, said he thought the media, and in particular the Internet should be used more for evangelisation. Speaking at a meeting promoted by the Communications Committee of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, Archbishop Foley highlighted the need to "launch a special effort of evangelization through the media, including and perhaps especially through Internet." He went on to express his view that "some media plan would be essential to make the contents of the Catechism better known and understood." Yesterday the president of the Pontifical Council for Social Communications celebrated Mass in memory of those members of the Catholic Press Association who died last year. Source: VIS
