Montfort Missionaries elect new superior

 Father Santino Brembilli has been elected superior general of the Montfort Missionaries, by the congregation's general chapter. He replaces Fr Bill Considine. Fr Santino, 59, is the first Italian to become superior general in the history of the congregation. He was professed on 29 September, 1963 and ordained on 6 March, 1971. He worked in the preparatory seminary in Redona. Later he was sent to Peru where he worked in parishes, became novice master twice, served twice as regional superior, and was involved in preaching missions ad gentes.
