Online diary to cover Church leaders' visit to Holy Land
A special online diary featuring photographs, prayers and news updates will allow people in the United Kingdom and around the world to follow the progress of the forthcoming Ecumenical Pilgrimage to the Holy Land by Church leaders. The diary can be accessed at www.rcdow.org.uk/holyland. The Archbishop of Westminster, Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O'Connor; the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Revd Dr Rowan Williams; Primate of the Armenian Church of Great Britain Bishop Nathan Hovhannisian and the Free Churches Moderator, the Reverend David Coffey are undertaking the Advent Pilgrimage to the Holy Land. The Pilgrimage is based on prayer and reflection on the scriptures and opportunities for shared worship with members of the local Christian communities. The group is arriving in the Holy Land on Wednesday, 20 December. They will travel to Jerusalem to meet local Church Leaders. On Thursday they Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity and to take part in an ecumenical service. They return to the UK on Friday.
