London: Advent talks for young adults

 Encouraged by the success of the Mind the Gap Talks in Lent 2008 for young adults, the Agency for Evangelisation together with the West End Churches is inviting young adults to a series of Advent talks based on different spiritualities and different ways of prayer.

Speakers who will give an insight into the Carmelite, Focolare, Dominican and Ignatian way of living. The speaker(s) will talk about their founders and will present their Specific spirituality and its relevance to our complex contemporary lives.

The evenings will take place at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Maiden Lane, Covent Garden, WC2E 7NB/ They will start at 6.30pm with refreshments and end with prayer.

The programme includes:

25 November - Let nothing frighten you ­ A Carmelite perspective by Fr Iain Matthew OCD
2 December -Journeying together ­ A Focolare perspective by Noreen Lockhart
9 December - Tell me the truth ­ A Dominican perspective by Fr Dermot Morrin O.P. & Br Robert Gay O.P.
16 December - Choices choices choices ­ An Ignatian perspective by Fr Dominic Robinson SJ
