Surprise visitor at St Benedict's Junior School
Children from St Benedict's Junior School in Ealing, west London, were rehearsing for their Carol Service in the Abbey Church when: Look who popped in to see us …Cardinal Vincent Nichols!
Monica McCarthy, Deputy Head, said: “We were absolutely delighted to see Cardinal Vincent Nichols who was visiting the Parish for a meeting. He sat and listened to our ‘Schola’ choir and commented on the beautiful sound. His message to the children was: ‘Remember, above everything else this Advent, to Put Christ back into Christmas.’”
The Junior School Carol Service is a highlight of the Michaelmas Term. It takes place this year on Tuesday 16 December, the eve of the final day of term.
