Five new Mill Hill Missionaries to be ordained for the priesthood

Five new Mill Hill Missionaries will be ordained for the priesthood on 26 April. In ceremonies across Kenya, Uganda and Cameroon, John Kwa Akain, Ronald Kajja, Noah Monday, Oniz Kihokolho and Andrew Mitema will make their Perpetual Oath and be presented with their own Mill Hill red sash and mission cross. These five men will be sent to countries in Africa and Asia to share their faith and live alongside poor communities.

Fr Anthony Chantry MHM, General Superior of Mill Hill, said: " It is very encouraging to see these young people ordained priests. The tradition of our Society is to serve those most in need, be they in war-torn Sudan, the young growing churches of Malaysia and Cameroon, the poor and isolated areas of Northern Uganda or our seminary in East Africa. The Church’s mission of bringing the Good News of Jesus Christ to the poor and abandoned continues throughout the world and I am proud of our new young missionaries who are prepared to commit themselves to this valuable service for life. I thank all those who have supported them and brought them to this happy and blessed day, especially our Red Box holders. Please continue to pray for them."

Mill Hill Missionaries work together with Missio (the Pope’s own mission charity) in 127 countries sharing the love of Christ with all people and building new churches. For more information visit www.missio.org.uk
