Irish Missionary Union events for October Irish Missionaries are organising a number of events around Ireland throughout th month of October to promote their work. On 2 October at 6pm, Bishop Hyacinth Egbebo, a young recently appointed bishop from Nigeria will address a gathering of IMU members, missionaries and friends at Wynn's Hotel, Dublin. Open to all. Admission free. Bishop Hyacinth will celebrate the Eucharist in St. Peter's Church, Phibsboro, Dublin, on 5 October at 2.15pm especially for the Nigerian and African communities. An exhibition of faith based volunteering organisations takes place from 5-26 October in St Peter's Church, Phibsboro, Dublin. A series of lectures celebrating 90 years of the Columban Mission begins on 7 October. Fr Sean McDonagh will be speaking on 'the Destruction of Biodiversity' at Dalgan Park, Navan, at 7.30pm. From 8-10 October, a multicultural photographic exhibition which looks at the stories of asylum seekers takes place at Cois Tine, St Mary's, Popes Quay. Cork from 9.30am 4.30pm Trough the use of song, imagery, light and African drumming, Cois Tine Multicultural Choir will present a story on how music reaches across the hands of culture to bring about harmony and unity on 10 October at the African Missions, Blackrock Road, Cork 8.00pm.
