Thursday, 4 October,  is the Feast of St Francis of Assisi. Friar Alessandro, who is a member of the Franciscan community  founded by St Francis, has sent us this short message describing the preparations for the special Mass, and the joy they feel on this day. To see his message go to:

Friar Alessandro will be releasing his debut album: 'Voice from Assisi' on 15 October. Having taken a personal vow of poverty, he will not personally accept any money from sales of his album and his day to day life will not change. What has changed is the way in which he chooses to keep in touch with fans of his music....turning to 21st century technology to actively engage in the social media channels of both Facebook and Twitter.
