How should humans behave towards animals? Do animals have souls? Do they go to heaven? Do they have rights? Should Catholics really eat meat or wear fur? The CTS booklet: Concern for Animals from a Catholic perspective' by Deborah Jones, explores these questions through Scripture and the stories of many Saints whose lives are remembered partly for their concern for our fellow-creatures. It also studies teachings of the Popes and of the Catechism, which lead us to a renewed appreciation of God's creation and our privileged but accountable place within it.
'Concern for Animals from a Catholic perspective' is one of the Explanations Series available from CTS on-line: http://www.cts-online.org.uk/acatalog/info_EX32.html
