Video - International Women’s Day – How are you celebrating?

Caritas Luxembourg has launched a video inviting women to participate in today's ‘International Women’s Day’ together. The charity is holding the event ‘to promote tolerance and respect to women’, according to its website. Women are invited to take a traditional dish from their home country to the Oasis centre in Wiltz to celebrate the day.
The centre, which began 14 years ago, is a place where migrant women share their stories and support each other. It offers women language lessons in German and French, crafts like embroidery, knitting, as well as gymnastics and world general knowledge. The centre is also inviting men to take part in the event.
“Men are, of course, welcome because we believe that if we want to change the situation, it must be done hand in hand with men,” says Samia Bounaira, head of the centre.
The event will take place at 12 Avenue de la gare in Wiltz, Luxemburg and will start at 12pm.
