Archbishop Vincent Nichols

There will be a chance to see Archbishop Vincent Nichols, Archbishop of Westminster this month, when he gives a talk entitled 'Prayer Today' at Westminster Cathedral Hall, Ambrosden Avenue SW1 at 7.30pm on Thursday, 26 January. Hosted by the Young Friends of Westminster Cathedral, all are warmly welcome to attend. Entry is £5 and light refreshments will follow.

Formed as part of The Friends of Westminster Cathedral, the Young Friends hold talks and social events throughout the year and invite all who value Westminster Cathedral to become a Friend.

Receiving no funding from the Diocese, Vatican or Government, the Cathedral relies on the goodwill of the public, with much of this directed through The Friends of Westminster Cathedral.

Credited with saving the world-renowned Choir of Westminster Cathedral in the 1970s, the Society of Friends holds a rich and varied programme of events, ranging from parties and concerts to cultural lectures and tours; while its annual membership subscriptions form the lifeblood of the support it is able to provide to Westminster Cathedral.

There will be the possibility for attendees to sign up for membership on 26 January, however, the Young Friends invite all to become members. Help Westminster Cathedral continue in its important mission and service to all.
