The livery companies that meet for grand ceremonial  dinners in the city of London – there are 108 of them, like the worshipful company of Drapers, Vintners, Skinners, - these livery companies – many of them have  a tradition of sharing a Loving Cup.  The Ceremony of the Loving Cup,  is said to date back to Saxon times before the Norman Conquest of 1066.
