The livery companies that meet for grand ceremonial dinners in the city of London - there are 108 of them, like the worshipful company of Drapers, Vintners, Skinners, - these livery companies - many of them have a tradition of sharing a Loving Cup. The Ceremony of the Loving Cup, is said to date back to Saxon times before the Norman Conquest of 1066.
