Cuba: government releases three more prisoners

In a press release yesterday, the Archbishop of Havana, Cardinal Jaime Ortega y Alamino announced that, three more prisoners are going to be released soon. They men are: Horacio Julio Piña Borrego; Fidel Suarez Cruz and Alfredo Felipe Fuentes. In May this year the Church held negotiations with the government about the situation of political prisoners.

The release says that this latest release brings the number of prisoners who have accepted freedom and agreed to move to Spain, to 39.
