London: Franciscan Friars lead Advent mission

The Franciscan Friars of the Renewal will be leading an Advent mission at the church of St Thomas More,  in Manor House, north London from 5-11 December.

The theme of the week is 'Prepare the way for the Lord'. 

The Community of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal will be preaching at all Sunday Masses.

On Wednesday, 9 December from 7.30pm, 9pm the will be a talk on: 'The Love that Satisfies' – Knowing the Fathers love.  Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, testimony with music and short time of prayer, ending with Benediction. 

On Thursday 10 December from 7.30pm,  there will be a talk on:  'Create in me a clean heart'- experiencing the Mercy of God.  Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, examination of conscience, confessor available for Sacrament of Reconciliation – during which time there will be music/prayer for those waiting. 

On Friday 11 December from  7.30pm - 9.30pm there will be a talk on:  'Only say the word and I shall be heard' – Encountering the Lord’s healing touch.  Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, Eucharistic healing procession accompanied with music, ending with Benediction and a ‘ferverino’.

The church of St Thomas More is at 9 Henry Road, N4 2LH. Nearest tube: Manor House or Finsbury Park.
