Carmelite Friar in BBC Radio 4 discussion

Brother Michael, a member of the Carmelite community in Faversham, took part in the programme discussing whether adopting poverty as a spiritual practice could have advantages and whether spiritual fulfillment be found in wealth and possessions or should these be given away in pursuit of higher goals?

Mike is a former psychiatric nurse, counsellor and trainer. Born in Birmingham, he joined the Faversham community immediately after his profession as a Carmelite in August 2008 and is currently studying theology at the Franciscan Study Centre in Canterbury. His interests include walking, reading and cinema.
