Polish community celebrate priests in England
The Polish community in England is launching a year of prayer for priests this Sunday - on the feast of Christ the King. At a Mass at the church of St Andrew Bobola in Shepherd's Bush, West London, 100 individual parishioners will pledge to pray each day for a year for a particular Polish priest in this country. The initiative, organised by the Institute of Polish Catholic Action was heralded at a Mass of Thanksgiving at St Andrews on 21 September . This was celebrated by Archbishop Wesoly representing Cardinal Glemp, Primate of Poland, with about 70 priests. Mrs Krystina Mochlinska, chair of the Institute, said: "We wanted to support our priests and show how much we appreciate their hard work and dedication."
