Women's organisation launches 'adopt a broadcaster' scheme
The National Board of Catholic Women has joined forces with the Anglican Mothers' Union in a scheme to support Christians working in TV and radio. In addition to praying regularly for a named broadcaster, members of the scheme will keep in touch with each other regularly, to share information and hear of particular prayer requests. A spokeswoman for the NBCW said: "At the Catholic in Public Life conference recently we met several people in the media who asked us to prayer for them. This is one way we can support them in their work." If you or your prayer group would be willing to adopt a broadcaster, please send your contact details to: NBCW Ecumenical Committee, 34 Park Road, Disley, Cheshire, SK12 21X.
