Leading Moslem cleric to speak at Catholic centre
One of the youngest Imams in Europe will be speaking at a meeting of Bushey Interfaith Forum in the parish centre, Sacred Heart church, Bushey at 8pm next Monday, 28 October. Iman Shaikh Ashraf Salahuddin, who is the religious leader of the Central London Mosque and head of the Islamic Cultural Centre, Regent's Park, will be talking about: 'Our Common Roots - the links between Islam, Judaism and Christianity' The event which will be chaired by Laurence Brass of Bushey United Synagogue, is open to all. A spokesperson said: "The Imam will be concentrating on what connects us and not what divides us! He is hoping that as many members as possible of local Muslim, Jewish and Christian and other communities will attend." Admission is free and Kosher refreshments will be provided.
