Prolifers in Parliament Square for Abortion Act anniversary
With gale winds blowing, some 80 pro-life campaigners stood witness in Parliament Square yesterday afternoon, on the 35th Anniversary of the Abortion Act. Children, students, men and women, young and old, met to commemorate the six million lives terminated since the act was passed in 1967. The group lined up facing the Houses of Parliament with more than forty feet of posters depicting the effects of first trimester abortions in graphic detail. A spokesperson for the Pro-Life Alliance said: "We must look abortion squarely in the face, and with the utmost repugnance. No just society can tolerate the killing of six million of its most vulnerable, without losing all claim to moral integrity." source: ProLife Alliance
