In a month of ordinations..
Following the news of the seven Missionary of Africa ordinations last week, and the four Comboni Father ordinations the week before - we've learnt that two Mill Hill Missionaries were also ordained to the Diaconate on Sunday. They are: Emmanuel Omollo and Mario Dimapilis. Bishop George Stack presided over what has been described as "a beautiful liturgy with international music and an international congregation. " The student priests will finish their studies at the Missionary Institute this summer and go to their home countries to be ordained priests. And earlier this month - on Sunday 8th December - Carmelite Brother Kevin Melody was ordained deacon with fellow Carmelite Brother Damian Cassidy, by Bishop Howard Tripp, at English Martyrs Church, Walworth, which is administered by the Carmelite order. Brother Kevin made his Solemn Profession as a Carmelite Friar on 6 December. His vows were received by Fr. Tony Lester, Prior Provincial of the Carmelites in Britain. Kevin is a member of the Carmelite community in Walworth whilst Damian is a member of the Aylesford community. For more information and photographs visit the Carmelite website at: www.carmelite.org
