Carmelite Friars join march
Comment Email Print
A group of Carmelite Friars together with the Prior Provincial and other members of the Carmelite family will join thousands of Christians taking part in today's peace march in London. The Friars' entourage will be joining the Pax Christi contingent at St. Martin in the fields at 11.15am. Others attending the anti-war march and rally have been asked to turn up at the Gower Street and Victoria Embankment meeting points before noon due to the projected size of the demonstration. Marchers will converge at Piccadilly Circus before continuing on to Hyde Park for the main rally. The demonstration will mirror others expected to take place in 650 cities around the world. In Spain alone; a country still standing with Britain and the US in support of a strike on Iraq, protests have been organised in 66 cities.
