London: talk on faith in the workplace at Canary Wharf


Fr Peter Newby, former Catholic Chaplain at Oxford University will be the first speaker the "T-ology on the Wharf" first Thursday series sponsored by the Canary Wharf Catholic Community, on 3 March. The talk, entitled "Faith in the Workplace: A Personal View," will be held in the Interfaith Prayer Room, 3 Westferry Circus. Participants are invited to come along any time from 12 noon with pack lunches for socializing with fellow workers. Tea will be provided. The talk will begin at 12.40pm and will be followed by discussion and questions. The program will end at 1.30pm. Fr Peter is presently parish priest at St Mary Moorfields where he is involved in pastoral outreach to young professional Catholics. He previously served as a chaplain at Oxford University for six years. Before entering the priesthood he studied architecture. The first Thursday series is intended to bring together Catholics and other interested Christians to discuss the challenges and opportunities of the workplace and the resources the Christian tradition offers them.
