The Synodal Journey Newsletter for April 2022 from the General Secretariat for the Synod of Bishops focuses on education. It states: 'The synodal path wants to reach everyone in the educational environment: first and foremost schools and universities. If synodality is an attitude, a way of being and living the community, it must be learned from childhood.

'On the other hand, the educational community - once at the centre of our societies and ecclesial communities - has today become marginal, almost a periphery, despite the large number of people involved and its importance for the future of our societies and our planet. This is what probably Pope Francis wished to emphasise, promoting the Global Educational Pact ( www.educationglobalcompact.org ) "to rekindle our dedication for and with young people, renewing our passion for a more open and inclusive education, including patient listening, constructive dialogue and better mutual understanding. Never before has there been such need to unite our efforts in a broad educational alliance, to form mature individuals capable of overcoming division and antagonism, and to restore the fabric of relationships for the sake of a more fraternal humanity."

The newsletter below includes links to a series of initiatives that testify how the implementation of the Global Educational Pact also passes through a synodal approach, that is, co-responsible for all the actors of the educational community.
