We are very sad to report that John Wilkins, a former editor of the Tablet for more than 20 years, an author, broadcaster, wise, kind and encouraging friend to so many people, died this morning (Tuesday 26 April 2022) about 1am, after a short illness.

We will publishing an obituary and details of his funeral in the next few days.

May he rest in peace and rise in glory.
