For the first time ever, the Liverpool Justice and Peace Annual Assembly which takes place from 28 June - 4 July, will be online, so that participants can meet despite the lockdown restrictions.
This has given the organisers the chance to make it a series of short events instead of a full day. The main speakers will be: Cardinal Michael Fitzgerald, MAfr, who will offer a spiritual reflection; Fr Diarmuid O'Murchu MSC who will discuss 'framing the conversation': local and national issues followed by breakout groups and Christine Allen, Director of CAFOD, discussing international issues, followed by breakout groups,
On the final day there will be a sharing of responses to the earlier talks, followed by a Q&A to a panel made up of the speakers and politicians.
