Women's Refugee Centre issues urgent appeal after fire destroys warehouse
Phil Kerton writes:
The Refugee Women's Centre in Grande Synthe is in urgent need of support!
On 28 August the warehouse which we operate from in Grande Synthe was burnt down, and all the stock and storage space was destroyed. Local organisations, including the Women's Centre, rely on this stock to provide basic aid to the roughly 700 men, women and children still living outside in the Dunkirk area.
In order to be able to continue supporting the over 100 family units around the region, we need to replace our high-need items as fast as possible. As the weather begins to turn, and police clearances increase, old and new families alike rely on the Women's Centre for shelter, bedding, clothes and hygiene items.
Please donate to help RWC re-stock our most needed items and continue supporting refugee families across northern France.
