This year Pat Gaffney, general secretary of Pax Christi, will host a panel discussion in the afternoon on the theme of drone warfare today with speaker Max Brookman-Byrne, Lecturer in Law in the College of Social Science, University of Lincoln. Max's research focuses on international law and the use of force/conduct of hostilities and cutting-edge research into the lawfulness of the use of armed drones. Also Maya Evans, a UK peace and human rights activist. Maya has made several visits to Afghanistan and - among other things - campaigns on armed drones and civil liberties.
All are welcome.
