Rosary on Margate Beach

More than 400 groups gathered around the UK yesterday to pray the Rosary on the Coast. We've already received several reports here at ICN.

Saltburn

Michael Morrissey writes: Some 60 people gathered at the grotto at Our Lady of Lourdes church in Saltburn-by-Sea, North Yorkshire, to pray the Mysteries of Light for a variety of causes, including life, vocations - and themselves.

The event, which was organised by the Knights of St Columba, was part of a nationwide Rosary on the Coast campaign. Among the crowd was Bishop Terry Drainey, of Middlesbrough, who is recovering from a knee operation last December.

Cups of tea were served at the back of church afterwards.

Cleethorpes

Bishop Patrick McKinney wrote: Thanks to Fr Andrew & everyone at Cleethorpes & to everyone in Boston who were involved in the joint parish & Polish Mission event in support of the 'Rosary on the Coast' initiative. If there were other events in the diocese please do send your photos.

East Kent

The Ordinariate E Kent tweeted: "More Rosary on the Coast in Deal, Kent, in the rain! 30 of us joined with our dear brothers and sisters around Great Britain, paying the Rosary for Faith, Life and Peace in our land. #Catholic #Ordinariate #RosaryontheCoast"

Rome

Scots College, Rome @ScotsCollegeIT tweeted: "We will join in prayer with the people of the UK, praying the rosary for 'Faith, Life & Peace in the British Isles'"

Crosby

Salesian Sisters UK @SalesianSisUK tweeted: "Cold and windy at Crosby Beach for the #Rosary on the Coast, but so amazing to be part of such a massive and important event in our nation." #salesianlife #rosaryonthecoast

Fr Willy Raymond @FrWilly commented on Twitter: "Saints and sinners, rich and poor, Kings and Queens, the learned and the unschooled, men, women and children alike find in the Rosary the perfect prayer.
