Pope Francis has condemned Saturday's terror attack in Kabul, Afghanistan, which left over a hundred dead and many more injured. During his Angelus address, the Pope told the faithful in St Peter's Square that he expressed his condolences to the loved ones of the victims. A few days ago another serious attack took place at a large hotel.
"How long will the Afghan people have to endure this inhumane violence?" Pope Francis said.
Pope Francis asked everyone gathered to join him in a silent prayer for the victims and their families, and for those who continue to work toward building peace in Afghanistan.
The Pope also noted that it was World Leprosy Day and called for prayers for everyone affected by this disease and their carers.
