Summer Celebration at National Shrine of Saint Jude

The National Shrine of Saint Jude in Faversham in Kent will once again be holding a special summer event on Saturday 28 May 2016. The Order of Carmelites are inviting visitors to come and see the Shrine and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

A number of ceremonies will take place including: an outside Mass, followed by a procession through our Holy Door; a chance to meet the Faversham community; purchase items from the shop; teas and coffees; an opportunity to light a candle; and finally, an opportunity to leave intentions at the Shrine of Saint Jude.

Fr Wilfrid McGreal, Prior at the Shrine, said: "We are looking forward to seeing everyone at the end of May. Everyone is very welcome."

Mr Matt Betts, Development Manager of the Shrine, said: "The summer is always very beautiful at the Shrine, and it will be lovely to see visitors on what we hope will be a warm day. The last two events were a wonderful time of celebration. We are looking forward to seeing and meeting pilgrims on this special day".

For those who are unable to attend, the Shrine is also offering an opportunity to have a candle lit for their intentions, further details are here: http://groupspaces.com/NationalShrineofSaintJude/public/pay/shop/
