Dame Colette Bowe DBE asks: 'Can you run a successful business ethically?'
Dame Colette Bowe DBE will be speaking at the Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School in the latest of its series of Leadership Lectures on Monday 7 March 2016 at 6.30pm.
Once named one of the most powerful women in the UK by BBC Radio 4's Woman's Hour, Dame Colette has worked in the City, in regulation and in Whitehall. She is chairman of the Banking Standards Board (BSB), chairman of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, as well as serving on the boards of the UK Statistics Authority, the Nuffield Foundation and the Department for Transport. She is also a Visiting Fellow of Nuffield College, Oxford.
The talk will focus on the differing moral codes and standards of business, with Dame Colette responding to the question: 'Can you run a successful business ethically?' This will be followed by a lively discussion and drinks reception.
All of the School's Leadership Series events are free of charge and are open to members of the public to attend. Previous speakers have included Gerard Lyons (Chief Economic Advisor to the Mayor of London), Francis Campbell (former British Ambassador to the Holy See), Charles Clarke (former Secretary of State for Education and Home Secretary) and former Minister of State for Prisons, Ann Widdecombe.
