West Midlands: Dedication of college chapel altar
It was an historic day for Bishop Milner Catholic College in Dudley, West Midlands, last Tuesday when Bishop David McGough led a celebration Mass for the dedication of the altar in the college chapel. Earlier, Archbishop Bernard Longley had visited the college and presented relics from St Gemma Galgani and St Thomas Aquinas. Both of these relics were blessed and interred within the altar by Bishop McGough.
The Principal of Bishop Milner, Mr Steve Haywood, said this was a very special occasion for the College and one that is rarely witnessed. He said he was immensely proud of the students who were present and took part in the ceremony. He thanked the College Chaplain, Fr Martin Pratt for making it all possible.
