WYD resource looks at young people in the Bible

An Australian writer and broadcaster, Elizabeth Fletcher, has prepared a new online resource in time for World Youth Day, which looks at incidents in the lives of famous biblical people when they were young.

Examples on www.bible-topten.com include the Jesus when he was lost in Jerusalem, the fight between the boy David and Goliath, Jairus' twelve-year-old daughter returned to life, Ruth's loyalty to Naomi, the young disciple John. Each page gives a Scripture passage, a short outline of the story and then relates the incident to the lives of a school student today.

Elizabeth has worked for the Catholic Education Office in Sydney writing the 'Faithful to God: Faithful to People' Curriculum Document. She also contributed chapters for the To Know Worship and Love RE textbook series and wrote 'Women in the Bible', for Harper Collins - which also has a website: www.womeninthebible.net
