Opportunities for young writers

Editors of a new website for 10 13 year olds are recruiting young writers.

www.yfaith.co.uk  will be designed to enable young people to engage with, and explore their faith, to discover that they're part of a vast community and that they have a contribution to make to the world as Catholics. The site will feature sections about God, discipleship, and the Bible; it offers a space to pray, and to explore how faith relates to life today.

This resource will be launched in July and the creators are currently recruiting budding young writers to contribute to the site, either once only or regularly. Emily Davis is the Project Coordinator and said: "We're looking for creative young people who have questions to ask but who are willing to learn, and have a sense of fun.   We need film reviewers, reporters, blog contributors and young people who have stories to share about their faith. Everyone within the age bracket is welcome to apply.  We'd also welcome applications from those up to the age of 15 who could write for a younger audience."

All those who submit a piece of work will receive a Yfaith pen and t-shirt and some may be invited to the launch event in July to meet the Yfaith team. If you know someone who would like to apply please download an application form from: www.caseresources.org.uk or call 020 8458 3316.
