Tibetan
monk visits Liverpool Hope University
The Tibetan monk and scholar, Geshe Gelek Jinpa, will be visiting
Liverpool Hope University this week to introduce the tradition
of 'Yungdrung Bön'.
Geshe Gelek Jinpa is a highly qualified and experienced meditation
master within the Tibetan tradition of Yungdrung Bon.
Yungdrung Bön, meaning 'Eternal Light' or 'Enlightened
Teaching' is based on the principle of practising unconditional
love and compassion towards all and is Thegpa Chenpo
or Mahayana in its approach.
The Bon tradition contains a body of teachings and practice analogous
with the more well known 'Tibetan Buddhist' tradition, especially
the Nyingma-pa school, and are aimed at enabling all to
access Enlightenment and freedom from the shackles of Samsara.
