Cardinal Cormac's summer term video message for schools

Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O'Connor has urged young people to remain faithful to Catholic values and to help the poor in two Summer Term video messages for Catholic schools in the Diocese of Westminster.

One video is designed for use in primary schools, and has a special message for pupils leaving this summer to go to secondary school in the autumn, whilst the secondary school video includes a special message for those leaving school for university or work.

"Whatever your path in life and at each stage of your journey'" said Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O'Connor. "I hope you will respond to Christ's challenge to serve the needs of the poor, whoever they are in your world. Do not forget, you are part of the church of Jesus Christ, called to love and serve Him and others in his name."

The videos are available on the Diocese of Westminster's website and can be used during assembly, or in classrooms on an electronic whiteboard as part of prayer or a Religious Education lesson. The videos can be downloaded from the webpages of the Diocesan Education Service where transcripts of the videos are available. Alternatively, the videos can also be streamed directly from the website's multimedia pages at: http://www.rcdow.org.uk/multimedia/.
