Recycle old stamps, Christmas cards and more, for charity

Don't throw away envelopes with stamps on them. Even the most ordinary ones can be recycled and turned into cash for good causes.

Many thanks to Sally McAviney from Ireland who sent us the following addresses of organisations that recycle for charity:

SEND POSTAGE STAMPS ONLY TO:

Sr. Gabriella Murnane
O.L.S.H. Convent
Ballybay
Co. Monaghan

David Fletcher
Medical Missionaries of Mary
69 Chester Park
Co. Down

FOR MORE OPTIONS

The Irish Peatland Conservation Council also collects used stamps. If you can help please send these to: IPCC, Lullymore, Rathangan, Co. Kildare. There's no need to lift them off the paper, but if you have time to trim them leaving a 1cm margin, they'd be delighted.

In addition, the charity also collects old & foreign coins and bank notes, phone cards, postcards, old Christmas and Birthday cards, petrol vouchers, supermarket club points, special offer labels, bus ticket change receipts and cap badges.

E-mail the IPCC at bogs@ipcc.ie for more information.

Does your charity recycle? Let us know and we will publish the details on ICN.
