Vatican appoints new envoy to Zimbabwe
The Holy See officially has named the American Archbishop, Edward Joseph Adams, as the new Apostolic Nuncio to Zimbabwe. Mgr Adams is currently the titular Archbishop and Nuncio in Bangladesh. Born in Philadelphia, USA, on 24 August 1944, Mgr Adams was ordained priest in 1970. Six years later he entered the diplomatic service of the Holy See, serving as the Pontifical representative in Rwanda. He later served in Kenya, Honduras, Ireland, Denmark and the Czech Republic. He has been Nuncio in Bangladesh since 1996. source: VIS
