US Christians to lobby Prime Minister


American Christian leaders will visit London next week in a bid to stop war with Iraq. Representatives of the New York based US National Council of Churches (NCCCUSA) will then travel on to Berlin, Paris and Moscow to express their opposition to war. The delegates from the Sourjourners, Episcopal, United Methodists, Presbyterian and American Baptist churches will meet with British Church leaders on Monday and plan to lobby Tony Blair and Clare Short, Secretary for State for International Development on Tuesday.
