Daughters of Charity elect new superior

The Provincials and Delegates of the Daughters of Charity of Saint Vincent de Paul, gathered together for their General Assembly in Paris, elected a new Superioress General yesterday. She is Sister Evelyne Franc. Sr Evelyne was born in Lyon, France on August 3, 1948. she has been the Treasurer General since March 2000. She worked as a missionary in Zaire from 1982 to 1984. In 1985 Sr Evelyne was missioned to Taiwan. In 1996 she was named Vice-Visitatrix of the Vice-Province of China where she remained until her appointment as Treasurer General.
