Has the Mystery Worshipper visited your church?

Ship of Fools, the ecumenical on-line 'magazine of Christian unrest' has an intrepid team of Mystery Worshippers travelling incognito in the British aisles and beyond, reporting on the comfort of the pews, the warmth of the welcome, the length of the sermon - and so forth. The only clue that they have been there at all is the Mystery Worshipper calling card, dropped discreetly into the collection plate. Current reports include: * "Exactly my cup of tea"... Southwark Cathedral, London * Compline in Latin at St Margaret's, Paston, Norfolk * Celebrating the queen (QEII) in Sydney Cathedral * A friendly welcome (and sermon from Amos) in Falmouth * Big happy family at St Luke's, Brighton, England * In the Cathedral of the Incarnation, Long Island, NY * Shifts of people take Mass in Vilnius Cathedral, Lithuania * Shouting out the scriptures in Northlake, Bothell, Washington * Doused with incense at St Stephen's, Providence, Rhode Island * 1500 people raise the roof at Perth City Hall, Scotland * Spine-tingling moments in St Andrew's, Hamble-le-Rice, Hants * A red-head soprano steals the show at Byfield, Georgetown, MA * Cassock albs cause irritation in St Wilfrid's, Harrogate, Yorks * The congregation sing in Latin in Holy Rosary, Portland * Cathedral stained glass in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario To read them visit: www.shipoffools.com
