Uganda: mission sister murdered

A young nun was murdered last week in Virika, Fort Portal. The body off Sister Florence Kemigisa, 35, was found on Tuesday under an avocado tree at the Banyatereza Sisters' convent. She had been cut on the head, arms and left eye. Police said thugs entered at around 3am, went to the boys' quarters and locked the occupants from outside before smashing the nun's door with concrete blocks. "We heard the deceased scream and plead with her killers, 'Bikira Maria! Mundeke tinyina musango' (Blessed Mary! Spare me, I am innocent)," a worker said. "Those in the boys' quarters could not intervene as the doors had been locked from outside," a nun said. Source: CISA
